Chassio exists because the used-car market in India is broken — and the people it hurts most are the ones who worked hard to own a car in the first place.
The broker problem 🧐
Most online car platforms in India today aren't really marketplaces — they're buyers. They'll come to your door, assess your car at a suppressed valuation, buy it off you on the spot, and then park it on their lot. Weeks later, a buyer purchases that same car from them at a significantly higher price, with a commission layered on top. The platform profits from both ends while neither the seller nor the buyer gets a fair deal.
As a seller, you walk away with less than your car is worth. As a buyer, you pay a marked-up price for a car the platform acquired cheaply. Nobody wins except the platform sitting in the middle.
Chassio does none of this. We don't buy your car. We don't hold inventory. We don't take a cut. We're a listing platform — a place where the person who owns the car and the person who wants to buy it can find each other and deal directly, at a price they both agree on.

We started Chassio as a personal project because we were tired of watching friends and family leave money on the table. Today it's free to use for everyone, and we plan to keep it that way as long as we can.

Chassio is built by a tiny team — and we'd like to be honest about how. We use AI-assisted development throughout our entire workflow: from writing code with GitHub Copilot to planning and tracking changes using an OpenSpec-based workflow that lets us go from idea to implementation in a structured, repeatable way.
This means a very small team can ship and maintain a full-featured platform that would traditionally require a much larger engineering team. We don't have VC funding or a large payroll. We have a clear process, good tooling, and AI that amplifies every hour we put in.

🤝 Built-in trust
Direct transactions only work when both sides can trust each other. That's why Chassio has a mutual rating system — after an interaction, buyers can rate sellers and sellers can rate buyers.
Ratings are aggregated into trust badges that appear on listings and profiles. Serious sellers earn a Trusted Seller badge. Genuine buyers earn a Serious Buyer badge. Repeat offenders — time-wasters, fake listings, aggressive behaviour — accumulate warning badges visible to everyone.
This means the longer you use Chassio honestly, the stronger your reputation — and the better deals you get.

Chassio is completely free to use — for sellers and buyers alike. There are no listing fees, no broker commissions, no premium tiers, and no hidden charges.
We run the platform out of our own pocket, currently within a monthly budget of ₹10,000. As long as we can sustain it, it stays free. If that ever changes, we'll be upfront about it.
The only thing we ask in return: be honest. Rate fairly. Treat the other person the way you'd want to be treated.
